Meet the artist

Hi, I'm Amber, an American botanist living in Friesland, in the north of the Netherlands. I spent years as an environmental scientist in California before moving here in 2025, which meant learning a new country, a new language and a whole new set of plants. Making cyanotypes became my way of getting to know this place, one wild plant at a time, and every envelope is mailed from right here in the Netherlands. I left the career and the life I knew behind to see if I can become a full-time artist in Europe. It’s the biggest risk I’ve taken, and I’m giving it everything. Every new member makes that a little more possible, and I’m so grateful for each one of you.
